Permobil is now seeking a Group Business Controller to join the Group FP&A team. About the position
The Group FP&A team plays a critical role in shaping the financial insights that guide Permobil’s strategy.
As a Group Business Controller in the group FP&A team, you will play a vital role in the financial planning and analysis efforts. Working closely with the FP&A Director and the VP Group Finance, you’ll take the lead on budgeting and forecasting and help the company to improve financial processes across the board. Your analysis will directly support the management team, helping them make informed and strategic decisions. You’ll also help prepare materials for the board, the owners, and the group management team, gaining exposure to high-level discussions.
However, this role is more than just strategic insights – you’ll also need to roll up your sleeves and handle the day-to-day tasks that keep everything running smoothly. From data consolidation to process improvements, this position requires someone who’s comfortable switching between big-picture strategy and detailed, hands-on work.

Key responsibilities
- Lead planning and forecast processes. Take ownership of the annual budgeting process and forecasting cycles, driving precision and timeliness across all deliverables.
- Analyze and follow up on results, business plans, and profitability to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and drive the Group’s growth and profitability.
- Contribute to monthly closing cycles and Management reporting. Proactive part in developing the reporting based on the changing needs of Group management.
- Collaborate closely with the Group management team and act as a business partner to drive the group’s profitability, growth, and strategic goals through in-depth financial analysis.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and decision-making materials that influence board discussions and group-wide strategy.
- Develop system support and Excel models to streamline and automate work. Partner with the BI team to refine data models and tools, ensuring cutting-edge support for planning and analysis.
- Participate in group-wide initiatives and business cases, contributing your expertise to projects that shape the company’s future.
Your profile and qualifications
To succeed in this role, you need to consider yourself as a proactive and high-performing individual. You must possess strong analytical abilities, specifically in conducting thorough financial analyses that yield data-driven insights for decision-making, including forecasting and simulations. Your curiosity and willingness to explore new solutions ensure that you continuously contribute to the organization’s progress. With your excellent communication skills, you easily build trust and foster strong collaborations both internally and externally. Working directly towards the Group senior management, you possess a strong degree of integrity and professionalism.
You hold an academic degree in finance, economics, or a related field and have at least 4 years of experience in an analytical role, such as a controller or financial analyst. You are accustomed to working with diverse stakeholders in an international setting and possess a natural aptitude for creating structure and clarity. You are fluent in English and have advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) is also a plus.
